An eReader is a fairly inexpensive thin tablet like device. One can be purchased from anywhere from $100 or more. The user can download many books onto this one device. This would be much easier and lighter than having each student have a hard copy of the books. As I continued to think about it though, some students may not like to read on the tablet. However, it would be much easier to take your books home to read. Most of the eBooks are inexpensive to purchase and use.

Flip Video Camera
The flip camera is a small device to record video. It is easy to use. There is only one button to record and stop the recording. To import the video a USB port pops out the bottom and plugs directly into the computer. This is nice for younger students if you want them to work on a project and record videos. It’s much easier than using a digital camera because the camera has may capabilities. Most of these cameras only have enough memory for one to two hours of video.

ELMO Projector
An Elmo projector has two main parts to this tool. There is a machine that picks up the image, and then there is a projector on the ceiling that shoots out the image onto a screen. The projector can display the images on your computer screen also. They can then switch between the computer and the Elmo itself. The Elmo is a way to use printed information so the entire class can see the information enlarged. This is a good tool to use for all grades. We used them when looking critically at a book. It allowed everyone in the classroom to be able to see each page. This is a good tool for learning.
